We realize our mission by engaging audiences through shared experiences with art and forging interdisciplinary partnerships that embrace the UAMA’s role as both a university and community art museum.
In addition, the UAMA exhibits, interprets and commissions artwork as a means of raising awareness about social, political, economic and environmental issues facing our society.
As the UAMA continues its mission to serve campus and community audiences and steward its expanding collection of art and archives, we have developed four major priorities — outlined below — to extend our impact.
Enriching the lives of campus and community members through meaningful encounters with art.
Maintaining the highest standards of collections care while facilitating increased access, both physically and digitally.
Fostering a sense of belonging by being accessible, welcoming and receptive to the needs of our audiences.
Increasing visibility and financial support in order to sustain and expand impactful relationships, programs and positive organizational culture.
