Maintaining the highest standards of collections care while facilitating increased access, both physically and digitally.

UAMA's collections are held in the public trust for inspiration, enjoyment, research and critique. The museum endeavors to make the collection accessible to the widest audience possible. Both the permanent collection and archives have been used for research by students, faculty and scholars since their inception, and will continue to be a resource for the campus community and beyond for generations to come.

Activating Collections Goals

Goal #1: Ensure the longevity and integrity of our collections through comprehensive preservation and conservation efforts.

Goal # 2: Enhance accessibility and transparency through improved documentation and presentation practices, as well as relationship building both on and off campus.

Goal #3: Engage in thoughtful collections planning, building diversity while upholding ethical standards and public trust in collections development and management.
