Woman-Ochre Journey Comes Full Circle

By now many people are familiar with the incredible journey of our Willem de Kooning painting, Woman-Ochre. That journey came full circle earlier this month when, after the conclusion of the special exhibition Restored: The Return of Woman-Ochre, the painting was reinstalled in the gallery where it hung prior to its infamous 1985 theft. Pictured here is Woman-Ochre with a special visitor – the former student monitor who discovered the painting stolen nearly four decades ago!
