While UAMA is closed for a much-needed HVAC upgrade, Members Morning will travel to another art museum in town!
UAMA Members are invited to a special tour of the Tucson Museum of Art's latest exhibition Ya Hecho: Readymade in the Borderlands, which opens on July 3.
The exhibition presents new and recent work by contemporary artists living and working on both sides of the United States–Mexico border. It evokes the landscape and cultural aesthetic of the Borderlands through sculpture and installation that is deeply rooted in personal experiences and historical narratives. The artists’ interventions transform mass-produced and found objects to examine diasporic themes of land, labor, migration, class, regional identity and materiality.
Please note that this Members Morning event begins at 11:30 a.m., and that we will meet at TMA. Register below to join us!
