U of A Museum Day!
Saturday
10:00 am – 4:30 pm
We believe in the power of art to spark essential conversations and enhance research at our university and in our community.
U of A Museum Day is back for its second year! Here's how UAMA and its Archive of Visual Arts are marking the occasion.
Join us for a day on campus, where you can visit nine unique museums and collections bridging the arts and sciences, and immerse yourself in a world of discovery and wonder.
At UAMA, enjoy free admission all day and special programming from 12:00-4:00 p.m. Explore books and zines in the Mobile Abolition Library ― on the road from Albuquerque, NM ― and shop for unique art, wearables, gifts and more at the Student Made Arizona popup market.
The Archive of Visual Arts ― which preserves original ephemera of artists, adding depth to an understanding of their practice ― will offer public tours from 12:30-4:00 p.m. Visitors can tour the space, handle archival materials and become more familiar with the collections.
UAMA Members are invited to join us at the AVA at 10:00 a.m. for a special tour with archivist Sara Swayden. Please register here. Not yet a UAMA Member? Learn about the benefits.
With questions about access or to request any disability-related accommodations at this event — such as ASL interpreting, closed-captioning, wheelchair access, or electronic text, etc. — please contact Visitor & Member Services Lead Myriam Sandoval, 520-626-2087.
