Upcoming Closures
UAMA will close at noon on Friday, November 15, for a University event.
We believe in the power of art to spark essential conversations and enhance research at our university and in our community.
Please note that this event has already taken place.
This Halloween, UAMA is creepin' it real with an Art After Dark fit for Spooky Season.
Kick off your All Hallows' Eve with an art-inspired costume contest, Dia de Los Muertos-themed art activities, spook-tacular tunes played by a live harp ensemble, and so much more!
If you've got it, haunt it. Come dressed as your favorite artist, artwork or an artistic vision from your own imagination, then enter our costume contest for a chance to win a fa-boo-lus prize basket (hint: it includes a print by iconic Tucson muralist Danny Martin.)
Witch better have my candy. You know we will! Not only will there be plenty of sugar on hand, there will be pizza too! Attendees can also enter a raffle for great door prizes like tickets to the FOX Theater and free admission to the Mini Time Museum of Modern Miniatures.
Wanna get crafty? Decorate your own calavera or add a panel to a community Papel Picado banner! Our campus neighbors will be onsite with activities of their own; create a print with the UA RISO Club, and make a stained glass-inspired bookmark with the Center for Creative Photography.
Have a very harpy Halloween! We're thrilled to have a pop-up harp ensemble performance by HarpFusion, featuring arrangements of spooky music by UA students — everything from Danse Macabre to Hocus Pocus!
*Costume contest sign up available through 6:15p.
