We believe in the power of art to spark essential conversations and enhance research at our university and in our community.
Please note that this event has already taken place.
Kids ages 3 to 5 and their families are invited to join us for a special series of Art Sprouts events! For our second event, we’ll explore the practice of weaving in honor of the Pulse: Weavings and Paintings by Marlowe Katoney exhibition.
Art Sprouts is a fun story-time and art-making event where participants learn new things, move their bodies and use their imaginations. The program is free for up to three children and one adult. Each additional adult is $8, and each additional child is $2.
This year we are thrilled to collaborate with the UArizona College of Education’s Early Childhood Education (ECE) program! Preservice ECE University students will plan and teach each Art Sprouts session with supervising faculty and museum staff.
With questions about access or to request any disability-related accommodations at this event — such as ASL interpreting, closed-captioning, wheelchair access, or electronic text, etc. — please contact Visitor & Member Services Lead Myriam Sandoval, 520-626-2087.
