Born in 1892, Gallagher was a Baltimore businessman, accomplished architect and art enthusiast. Having spent 13 years of his childhood in Arizona he maintained a fascination with the Arizona landscape and dude ranches. This would later inspire him to create sketches and paintings which are included in this collection. Other materials contained are photographs, scrapbooks, calligraphy and art tools.
