Hamlet Gets a New Sheen

1962 Alumni Refinishes Sculpture

William Arms, a University of Arizona School of Art alumni, came to visit this past week to refinish his Hamlet sculpture that cleverly depicts three scenes from William Shakespeare's famous play.

Arms, a sculptor and muralist, worked together with Paul R Speyer to complete the sculpture in 1996 that now sits in the Arts District between the School of Music and Maroney Theatre.

85 year old William Arms worked hard to give his Hamlet scultpure a makeover just in time for homecoming festivities!
