Rare Frame to be Conserved

Thanks to the generous donations UAMA received on UArizona Giving Day, the frame of Gertrude Abercrombie's Late Summer Landscape will travel to New York for expert conservation treatment.

This unique frame — likely selected by the artist herself, who often outfitted early works with vintage frames — protects the incredibly rare work inside, which is representative of the artist’s brief foray into reverse glass painting.
