Welcome, Sara!

We are thrilled to introduce the newest member of the UAMA team, Archivist Sara Guzman!

Sara holds a Masters of Arts in Library and Information Science from UArizona’s Knowledge River Program. Throughout her career she has dedicated herself to building strong relationships with historically-marginalized and underrepresented tribal communities in Arizona, and has fostered community-driven archive initiatives in both tribal and western information institutions.

Sara believes archives are integral in the pursuit of academic scholarship, lifelong learning and cultural heritage preservation. Her experience as an archivist spans across federal, state, academic and private information institutions which has prepared her to face any challenge at the UAMA’s Archive of Visual Arts.
