Contemporary Art

Over the years the UAMA has continued to build its contemporary art collection through generous donations such as the Mr. and Mrs. William A. Small, Jr. Collection of twenty-seven paintings, drawings and sculpture by European and American artists of the 20th Century and the Edward J. Gallagher, III Memorial Bequest.

This endowment fund established for the care and growth of the Museum’s collection has supported the purchase of works by Audrey Flack, Kerry James Marshall, Jaune Quick-to-See Smith, Robert Colescott, Edgar Heap of Birds, Luis Jiménez, Hung Liu, Sue Coe, Narsiso Martinez, and Phung Huynh.
