December 3 – January 4, 2014
Mapping Q is a community youth program created in collaboration with the Southern Arizona AIDS Foundation’s ALLY suicide prevention program. Youth investigated language, symbols, and images and explored how they can express personal identities as well as communicate rigidly traditional expressions of gender and sexuality. Mapping Q participants created artwork as a response to these investigations. Their work explores ideas such as the youth’s ideal spaces, personal identities, and their own understandings of gender and sexual orientations. This exhibit will be on display from December 3, 2014 until January 4, 2015.
