Inside the Art Lab: Warhol
Tuesday, May 5th 5:30 pm
Learn more about Andy Warhol’s ties to Tucson in this short film and presentation. Warhol filmed his movie Lonesome Cowboys in Tucson, both at Old Tucson and Rancho Linda Vista, a cooperative community run by local artists. Charles Littler, one of those artists and a professor at the U of A from 1958-1984, made a short, silent, documentary film of Warhol’s cinematic creative process during this period. This presentation includes a showing of the film and a discussion of the filming itself with the presenters: Selina Littler, daughter of Charles, along with Steve Romaniello, Chuck Sternberg, Joy Fox McGrew, who were at Rancho Linda Vista during the filming.
The event is free, but donations are gladly accepted.
