The University of Arizona Museum of Art and Archive of Visual Arts

University Students

The Museum welcomes students from all disciplines to explore the exhibits. Admission is always free with a student ID. The museum is not only a place to visit while on a class tour, but it’s also a place to study, sketch, relax, and feel inspired.

Copying works in the galleries:

Students are welcome to bring in small sketchbooks and copy the works of art, as long as other visitors may view the exhibitions unimpeded. Only pencils are allowed—no other drawing material is permitted. If wishing to make large sketches or to set up an easel, special permission must be obtained. Please contact Kristen Schmidt, Registrar at 520-621-9510 or email

Internship opportunities:

There are a limited number of internship opportunities available in various departments at the museum. Please click for more information.
