Volunteer Docent Program

Museum docents are highly educated volunteers who serve the Museum in many ways. Docents lead interactive tours for people of all ages and backgrounds, give adult outreach presentations in the community, assist at Museum programs and outreach events, and research works in the permanent collection.

Docent education meetings are held on Monday mornings from September through May. Meetings are led by the Curator of Education with guest speakers including UAMA staff, UA School of Art faculty and other experts. Information meetings are generally held every August. For more information, please contact Olivia Miller, Curator of Education, at 520-626-9899. You may also download an application here. Please note- we are not currently accepting applications to the Docent Program.

If you are interested in volunteer opportunities other than the Docent Program, please contact the appropriate department.
