Tucson Moderns

Purpose

The Tucson Moderns at the University of Arizona Museum of Art are a group of art lovers between ages 18-50 that believe in the vibrancy of the Tucson community and the cultural and economic benefits art can bring to the city. They are a fundraising and friend-raising group dedicated to furthering the mission and vision of the museum.

Members of the Tucson Moderns fulfill their duties by:

  • planning and executing 1-2 unique fundraising events per year
  • supporting the Museum’s growth of attendance and membership;
  • volunteering at 2 additional museum events per year;
  • attending at least half of regularly held group meetings;
  • encouraging friends, family, and colleagues to visit the museum and participate in events

Benefits

Members of the Tucson Moderns through their service:

  • gain experience in fundraising and development;
  • plan and participate in social events such as tours, lectures, and parties;
  • are involved in the museum’s future strategic planning and goals
  • meet and network with like-minded supporters who are dedicated to the arts and promoting a vital Tucson institution
  • form strong partnerships with museum staff and supporters on campus and in the community.
