Join us for a festive evening celebrating the birthday of Willem de Kooning!
This special event will transport you back to de Kooning’s world- New York City in the 1950s. Peruse a pop-up exhibition of abstract expressionist art from the Museum’s collection including Franz Kline, Helen Frankenthaler, Adolph Gottlieb, and Grace Hartigan while listening to the sounds of beat poetry and a jazz combo from the era. After you’ve whet your palette with the art, enjoy refreshments, birthday sweets, and drinks.
This event is free for Museum members, and RSVP is required. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve your spot.
Have a friend who’s not a member? Invite them to join!
Tickets are available for purchase here at $50/person ($30 is tax deductible).
This event is sponsored by the Museum’s Leadership Council.
