May 19 – July 31
Mapping Q is back and bigger than ever! This year’s program is in collaboration with the Tucson Museum of Art, the Museum of Contemporary Art, the Southern Arizona AIDS Foundation, and the University of Arizona School of Art.
Mapping Q is an award-winning community arts education program that invites LGTBQ+ youth ages 13-23 to explore representations of self within art, museums, and the wider community. The work created by the y0uth is being displayed this year across three venues: exhibitions at The UAMA and The Tucson Museum of Art and a video screening at MOCA.
Join us for an opening reception on Thursday, May 19 from 4-7 pm. Get a first glimpse of the art, meet the artists, and listen to music by DJ Buttafly!
Don’t miss the companion exhibition at The Tucson Museum of Art, also running May 19-July 31.
