Join us for a make-and-take members’ appreciation event inspired by Tinkerlab. This event will feature opportunities for our members to become the makers in the Museum with activities hosted by the UA’s iSpace, Sonoran Glass School, and the Drawing Studio. Join us and your fellow members for a night of music, refreshments, and fun!
The evenings activities will include:
UA Libraries’ iSpace
The UA Libraries’ 3D Printing Service will showcase 3D printers and scanners, which are used to convert digital models into various art and design projects on display.
Combine fun and unlikely materials to make music with the Makey Makey, a simple invention kit that turns any conductive material into an input device for a computer.
Supported through UA Libraries’ Virtual Reality Studio, campus and community members can experience interactive games, expansive environments, and new ways of creating artistic media through our available VR headsets.
Sonoran Glass School
Sonoran Glass School will offer members the opportunity to see live glass blowing demos as well as make-and-take opportunities starting at $45 through their mobile G.O.A.T. (Glassworking On A Trailer).
The Drawing Studio
The Drawing Studio will have two stations hosted by instructors Jessica Kranz and Mykl Wells. Jessica Kranz will be instructing members on the art of collage-making (5:30 – 6pm, 6:30 – 7pm). Mykl Wells will be doing speed sketching exercises in one of our permanent galleries featuring works from our collection (6 – 6:30pm, 7 – 7:30pm).
